Specialist clinics providing access to the latest advances in cancer treatment

Alternative Treatments Available

Our Alternative Treatments clinic in Bonn utilises only the very latest procedures and oncological treatment equipment, not only to provide cancer therapies, but to diagnose and monitor the presence of tumours and the progress of your treatment. The following therapies are a small selection of the Alternative Treatments available. They may be offered to patients as single therapies, or more often as a combination of two or more treatments as part of a comprehensive and effective treatment plan.

Sonography - Ultrasound Scanning

We aim to provide our patients with the least invasive diagnostic methods available. Ultrasound scans are therefore the first choice for diagnostics at our clinic. Our latest generation ultrasonic instruments provide three dimensional views and the highest possible resolution. Even the tiniest mutation in the tissues and the blood flow to cancerous tissue will be detected by these state of the art ultrasonic instruments.

The ultrasound scans will be used, together with the results of previous medical examinations and the information gathered during your initial consultation, to establish the correct therapy plan and the procedures required for your successful holistic treatment. Ultrasound scans will also be utilised during the course of your treatment to monitor progress.

Hyperthermia

Hyperthermia works on the basis that cancer cells are very sensitive to heat. The Hyperthermia method targets the area near the tumour, and gently heats the tumour using a thermal pad which is in contact with the body close to the site of the tumour. The whole process is computer controlled and monitored throughout, to control and track the progress of the procedure.

Hyperthermia works in conjunction with chemotherapy drugs, taken during the local Hyperthermia treatment. The hyperthermic warming of the tumour not only greatly increases the effect of the chemotherapy drugs targeted at the cancer, but means that a reduced dosage of these drugs may be used than would otherwise be necessary. This greatly reduces the side effects associated with this type of medication.

High Dose Vitamin C Therapy
Vitamin C is a powerful weapon against many forms of cancer, which can dramatically reduce tumour growth and even prevent it from spreading. The high dose vitamin C is administered in the form of intravenous injections, and also offers the benefit to the patient of being free from side effects.

Independent studies have shown that within three days of commencing high dose vitamin C therapy, the rate of tumour growth slowed by up to fifty three percent.

Ozone Therapy
Cancer cells cannot survive in the presence of oxygen (ozone). Ozone therapy is not only highly effective, but is both easy for patients to tolerate and free from unpleasant side effects.

Ozone therapy is carried out with the patient relaxing on a comfortable treatment bed. Blood from the patient is circulated through an infusion machine, which infuses ozone into the blood, before it is returned to the patient's body. This procedure directly targets the tumour, as it relies on a flow of blood to survive. The ozone that is carried to the cancer triggers cell death within the tumour.

Enzyme Therapy
Enzymes are natural proteins that stimulate and accelarate many biological reactions in the human body. Metabolic enzymes build new cells and repair damaged ones in the blood, tissues and organs.

Enzyme Therapy is usually administered in a supplementary tablet form. The enzymes can help to dissolve the protein lining surrounding a tumour, thereby allowing the body's white blood cells to destroy the cancer cells.

Post Treatment Monitoring
After completeing your treatment plan, we recommend that you return to our Bonn clinc for quarterly check-ups and tests. This allows Dr Shuppert and his team to monitor your progress, as well as providing further advice and peace of mind for you.
